So I have a new project I'm working on- art for a baby's room! We don't know yet if we are having a boy or girl but just in case I will be prepared with paintings for both :-). This is the first "boy" painting that I just finished. The photo was taken on our trip to Nags Head over the summer, and I knew as soon as I saw it that it
must be painted in pastel. The painting is large (for my work anyway)- 18x24. I really like the composition with its diagonal lines and interesting patterns- almost like a puzzle. And the colors are great- rich and saturated.
I love it!! Perfect if the baby is a Miguelito (which I have a FEELING it is!!)

ReplyDeleteI love Boats for Boys. Everytime I see it, it reminds me of my boy. He is no longer a little boy, but as you know, he still loves those outer banks boats. Since baby #1 is going to be a girly girl, I would love to purchase Boats for Boys (as you know, price is no object for me). If you want to save it for the current outer banks boy or a future baby boy, I'll understand. It's just that it brings tears to my eyes every time I look at it.
